Subject: Safety showers and eyewashes
I am doing some safety inspections for a start up private laboratory. There is no documentation on the individual safety eywash/showers indicating when they were last inspected. The building facilitty manager insists he has the documantation on his computer but has steadfastly refused to share this information when a safety inspection is performed. Is there any documentation that requires emergency eyewash/shower stations to have tags indicating their last inspection? Any information would be helpful. I suspect that the inspections occur on a random basis, if at all. Thanks Jack Novodoff, PhD
